Nordic Web Team organised Meet Magento 2017 Sweden for the second time, in Stockholm. The event toked place in Münchenbryggeriet (or the “Brewery Conference Center”).

After being in the panel moderator a year ago, this time I had the pleasure to talk on my first public presentation, which Nexcess described it being “a particularly interesting talk about Kubernetes and Magento 2".

My first public speech, talking about “Magento 2 on Kubernetes” (photo by alex@nwt) Besides being a little bit scared in the first minute, it was an amazing experience which just stimulated my appetite. I received some very good feedback which helped me realised that it was not such a bad speech for the first time.

The presentation was describing one of our current projects we are developing in Nordic Web Team, while rebuilding the company website using Magento 2.x. We toked our own site in the pre-alpha version to experiment Kubernetes and we are more than pleased with the results and we wanted to share that with the community.

While we already using docker for quite a long time, I think Kuberntes is having a pivotal role into the containers world.

Magento 2.x is a very good software with great improvements in many aspects, which proved their leading role in the market.

Combining Magento 2.x with Kubernetes (from where the #mage2kube) seems now a very natural choice, while decoupling the application from the server side and scale in regardless of the cloud provider is something in the wishlist of all projects. I could say that now I cannot image otherwise.
